Possibly. There is another family of Jujitsu schools known collectively as Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ. While BJJ shares some roots with Danzan Ryu, BJJ is more sport and competition oriented and is similar to wrestling. Ask your cousin!

With a wide range of student abilities, we've become proficient at leading group activities, yet keeping the individual practices at different level. There tends to be enough differences between DZR and most other systems that we can keep you on your toes.
DZR focuses on generating power via technique, position, and movement rather than by strength. The movements are subtle and are new for most people, even experienced martial artists.
